BOWL2DAY EASTER CHALLENGE 2011 Summary

By April 2, 2011 No Comments

BOWL2DAY’s 3rd EASTER CHALLENGE is an annual event that both schools and BOWL2DAY look forward to each spring time.

This year 10 schools and around 750 pupils and 50 teachers took part.  Unfortunately, one of our usual participants, Townley Primary, had to withdraw but we were really pleased to replace them with 3 schools who’d not previously joined in.  This year’s new school’s were Burrowmoor, Leverington and Peckover and we hope their visit matched their expectations.    What about the winners? Firstly, we hope that every pupil and teacher had a good time 10 pin bowling, but sometimes it’s good to win and we awarded the highest scorer of every school with a trophy to recognise their achievement.

There is also a school trophy too.  2009 winner was Townley, 2010 winner was Westwood and this year’s winner was ……… West Walton Primary thanks to a massive score of 135 by Connor.  So a big well done to West Walton Primary School and we hope to get the trophy engraved and present it very soon.

The EASTER CHALLENGE has proved to be a fantastic way for BOWL2DAY to support the local community.  Instead of sending a couple of vouchers to support the school’s events we can offer free bowling for a class, year or whole school; each school chooses what’s best for them.

We try to ensure everyone has a great time and wants to come back again – simple!  In addition it’s enabled us to build some strong links with schools to chat about ideas and get feedback.

Each school has their own EASTER CHALLENGE blog, but here’s a collection of photos, please leave some comments and the bottom and we hope to see you all again in 2012!
