Here’s the shortest history learning you’ll ever do!
We’ll tell you all about our Play2Day Halloween Disco! in a bit, but here’s the shortest history learning you’ll ever do!
Around 2,000 years ago The Celts used to hold a big annual party to scare away the ghosts and spirits.
This day became known as All Hallows’ Eve – the day before All Saints’ Day on 1 November.
But it was the Americans who turned it into something more fun
It’s was in America where Halloween really took off.
Irish immigrants in the United States raised the popularity of Halloween during the 19th and 20th centuries with everything from pumpkin carving to TV shows and movies.
History lesson over and back to 2014!
Moving to the present time: Join the Play2Day Halloween Disco! to enjoy ghoulish games and creepy tunes.
