West Walton School
We’ve really hope that all the schools, teachers and pupils enjoyed this years Easter Challenge as much as we did! It was great to have some schools back for their 5th Challenge, some their 1st and some teachers back but with a different school.
With 10 schools comprising around 700 pupils and their teachers taking part it used to feel a bit scary for our staff but I feel confident that we can quickly resolve any problems because of the trust developed over these last five years. I mention this because when I tried to put this ‘crazy idea’ of giving free ten pin bowling to hundreds of pupils it was really tough. Many schools didn’t believe me (some still don’t and think maybe never will).
The Easter Challenge is part of our Community Support Programme. We also support Pre-Schools in September with an event called Preschool FREEPLAY by offering free entry to our Indoor Children’s Play Centre and in December when we offer free Lazer-Tag to high schools and colleges which we call Student Shoot-Out. We’re pleased to support the local community and hope that you’ll spread the word so lots of people can benefit.
